If you are contemplating returning to college, or attending college for the first time, you will have to decide on a major. Many young people have no idea what they want to do with their lives and they often enter college without knowing what they will major in. This is perfectly normal and not uncommon but sooner or later, you will have to make that big decision.

If you like computers and love the internet, then maybe you should consider a major in the IT field. In today’s highly connected world, we rely on computers for nearly everything. Companies large and small cannot function in this day and age without having skilled computer personnel taking care of their information.

If you are not that interested in computers but you like to work with people, consider a job within nursing. Nurses are in high demand today and by earning a nursing degree you are all but guaranteed to get a job as soon as you finish school.

When choosing a major, take the time to think about the things you enjoy to do. It is also a good idea to talk to your high school guidance counselor. He/she is trained to help students choose career paths and the assistance is free of charge.

Based on what major you choose, you may also have the opportunity to select whether you want to attend traditional campus based classes or take your college degree classes online. Either way, we highly recommend you select an Accredited College to attend.
