Choosing the right college can be a daunting task. Most students just head off to the more expensive four-year colleges because that is what is expected, and community colleges do not have the best reputations. There is a misconception that community colleges do not provide a good education and it is time to put that myth to bed.
Going to a community college definitely has its benefits. College degree programs from four-year colleges and universities are expensive and community colleges cost far less. Even if you have high career goals, you will still need to take the basic classes that the general education requires. Why take these general courses at an expensive school when you can get the same education at your local community college?

Community colleges do offer quality educations. Many people feel otherwise, but that is simply not true. Students get more personal contact with the instructors at community colleges and the educations are far from sub-standard.
Money does not grow on trees and by attending a community college, at least for the first two years of your college degree program, is a very good idea. You will receive a quality education at a fraction of what you would otherwise pay at a big college or university.
