Many professions require individuals to continue their education in order to maintain their license to practice within their field. These requirements allow professionals to build on their foundation of knowledge and stay current on new developments within their field.
Professionals may be required to continue training, obtain an educational degree in a certain area of study, and/or pass an exam. In many cases these requirements can be fulfilled through college or university coursework.
